Storypaths (Ongoing)
The Omnimuseum Project has created a pilot project intended to help local history museums extend the "museum experience" into their geographic surroundings through an approach we refer to as a "Storypath". Storypaths are self-guided transmedia experiences intended to prompt participation, curiosity and critical thinking, deepening its audience’s awareness, and appreciation of treasures hidden among the everyday. Contact us to discuss how a customized Storypath can activate your museum in public spaces, and throughout your community. |
Storypaths are not your standard mobile app tour, but an immersive, interdisciplinary experience, combining pervasive game design, integrated media, puzzles, hidden objects, GPS enabled mobile technologies, and other interactive components overlaid, or integrated into the physical world. If your museum, or cultural organization is interested in knowing more about Storypaths , please contact us - omnimuseum@mail.com |
Free The Museum
Launched Sept. 2020 (Ongoing) Free the Museum is an initiative to activate the museum experience in the world around us, transforming everyday places into sites of engagement, expression and informal learning. It is a call to action aimed at equipping museum practitioners with the resources needed to apply their skills, knowledge and creativity to different facets of public space. Free the Museum is a campaign to imagine a museum that is more open, inclusive and equitable, one that is more flexible, responsive, relevant, and firmly planted in the world we live in.
